No matter your interest in Connecticut’s history…travel, research, education or just plain curiosity, you’ve come to the right place!

Travelers and tourists can plan a day trip or a leisurely tour through any part of historic Connecticut using the Directory of Museums, a searchable database of over 200 historic sites, houses and museums or the Activities Calendar featuring hundreds of things to do all over the state.

Cultural Resources for Teachers lists over 120 lesson plans, museum fieldtrips and in-school programs that put a Connecticut spin on any history lesson.

Connecticut History Resources offers a wealth of information on the people, places and events that have shaped our past including:

The Encyclopedia of Connecticut History with hundreds of entries on important Connecticut subjects and the Connecticut History Reference Shelf, a comprehensive bibliography of important books on Connecticut Topics. 

The Records of Our Past and Connecticut Photo Album offer "the real stuff" of history—links to thousands of historical photographs, records, oral histories and letters that document our rich heritage.

Connecticut Stories Online features a host of online exhibitions that capture the essence of the Connecticut experience
