The Norwich Heritage Discovery Center (NHDC) was granted $24,500 to engage a museum consultant, historians and a design firm to prepare a conceptual plan for a new heritage site in downtown Norwich. This follows a CHC-funded $5,000 planning grant in 2001 and $2,500 in December of 2002.

for The Woodworkers of Windsor: A Connecticut Community of Craftsmen, 1635 - 1715

The Windsor Historical Society (WHS) was granted $24,999 to install alandmark exhibition and create public programs focusing on 17th and 18th-century Windsor, Connecticut furniture makers, and demonstrating the critical role that the artisan class played in early community-building. The exhibition is scheduled to open this September and run through April 2004.
